ORIENTATION PROGRAMMES - Autumn 2023

Academic year 2023/24 will start on 4 September 2023

GÖDÖLLŐ CAMPUS:

The Autumn Semester orientation programmes will take place from 5-8 September. Registration is necessary. Additionally, students can decide to join Gödöllő Downtown Days where our MATE - LAOS stand will represent our University and the recently established Embassy of Laos as well as the Hungarian-Lao Friendship Association on 9 September. Various programmes, organised by the town, will be available during the whole weekend in Gödöllő.

5 September

     9:30 - 10:00 Regsitration, welcome snacks
     10:00 Welcome ceremony and meeting the international staff

7 September - Day of Hungarian Culture

     13:45 Hungarian folk music and songs by Krisztina Benedek, folk artist and performer of folk music and her ensemble
     15:00 Visit in Gödöllő Royal Palace - Opening ceremony of Schönbrunn Collection Exhibition
     16:30 MATE-Forduló Folk Dance Ensemble - Hungarian dances at the court of the Royal Palace

8 September - Administration Day

     9:00 - Stipendium Hungaricum Practicalities by Ms. Kánai Csilla SH Institutional Coordinator
     9:15 - Practical Matters by Ms. Judit Tallárom-Czingili
     9:30-12:00 - NON-EDUCATIONAL administration (possible ONLY AFTER registration for the semester in person!)
Meet the representatives of OTP Bank and Tax Authorities; preparation of health insurance and tax ID applications, bank account opening procedures. Clarification of procedures at the Immigration Office for NON-VISA country citizens​​​​​​​. Receipt of residence permits of D visa citizens.

9 September - Gödöllő Downtown Days: MATE - Laos stand

     9:00 - 17:00 Join and visit our stand in the Civilian Street demonstrating local products made in Laos such as handicrafts, sticky rice basket, premium arabica coffee beans (Dao coffee and others), slide show, traditional Lao dancing on stage and a lot more.​​​​​​​
