You will need the following documents/numbers after your arrival. We will help you start these procedures during the Orientation Week and the following months.
1) Residence permit – Immigration Office
2) Health Issues & Insurance
3) Student ID
For STIPENDIUM HUNGARICUM, Diaspora, SCYP and FAO SCHOLARS
4) Bank account
SH, Diaspora, SCYP and FAO scholars are expected to open a Hungarian bank account.
Required documents:
- Hungarian cell phone number
- student status certificate
- copy of passport and visa
- address card
- residence permit
In order to open a bank account in Hungary you have to have a Hungarian mobile phone number. A Hungarian SIM card can be purchased in any Hungarian service provider's client office (Vodafone, Telekom, Yettel, etc...).
