The Erasmus+ BIP programme "Physics without borders" took place at our University

The Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) is a new mobility programme under the Erasmus+ umbrella, it includes face-to-face presence and online module as well. Physics without Borders programme was hosted by our university from 1-5 April 2024, organised by the Department of Physics of the Institute of Mathematics and Basic Science, as a cooperation with three partner universities. Besides teachers from three countries, 12 MATE students, 15 students from Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain and 5 students from Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, Slovakia participated in this intensive but very exciting event.

​​​​​In addition to promoting physics, the programme aims to build international relations, encourage student mobility, develop English-language curricula, exchange information for laboratory development, share teaching and methodological experience, and establish research collaboration.

​​​​​The 5-day intensive professional programme included laboratory demonstrations both at the Buda Campus: demonstration of the laboratory equipment of the Food Metrology and Automation Department, Sensory Laboratory, Pálinka and Brewery, and at the Szent István Campus: physics laboratory measurements under the guidance of Hungarian students, physics experiments, visit to the Machine Museum, visit to the Solar Energy Laboratory.

​​​​​​In addition to the professional programme, the participants had the opportunity to visit the Buda Arboretum, the Palace of Wonders, the Museum of Illusions, the Royal Palace of Gödöllő, the Water Tower and the Trophies, and to learn about our historical values, Easter traditions and taste the famous Hungarian cuisine.
