Welcome event For Stipendium Hungaricum and Diaspora Scholarship holders
Tempus Public Foundation (TPF) organised its traditional Welcome Event for first-year Stipendium Hungaricum (SH) and Hungarian Diaspora (HDS) scholarship holders in Budapest on 20 November 2023.
Mr. Miklós Lengyel, Deputy State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and Mr. Gábor Dobos, the Director of the Directorate for Internationalisation of Higher Education at TPF, welcomed the freshmen.
In the course of the event the Student Excellence Awards have also been presented. This award is given to SH and HDS students who not only excel in their studies, but also actively participate in the community life of their university.
Two students of MATE, Daniel Mainda Mwendwa (MSc in Rural Development Engineering) and Emilio Vela Lopez (BA in Film and Media Studies) have also been presented the award. We are grateful for these students’ active contribution to better student life at MATE. Congratulations to both of them.
The Welcome Event has been a great opportunity for SH and HDS students of various universities throughout Hungary to meet each other as well as the representatives of sending partner countries, and to take part in an intercultural workshop.
