Do I need to upload a health certificate? What is the required format of the health certificate for scholarship applicants?
For the application process, a health certificate is not required.
Stipendium Hungaricum and Hungarian Diaspora Scholarship applicants only need to present the official medical certificate (with attachments) after being awarded the scholarship and upon arrival in Hungary, during the local medical examination (using the prescribed form).
SCYP applicants must upload the required medical certificate to their application profile by 30 April, using the official template available in the call for applications, once the church recommendation has been approved.
Self-financing students are not required to submit a health certificate.

What is the refund policy if my application or my visa gets rejected?
The application fee paid via DreamApply for foreign applicants applying to a self-financed program through the institutional admission procedure is intended to cover the costs of the admission process and is non-refundable.
If a foreign applicant is admitted through the institutional admission procedure, but applicant does not receive a visa for entry into Hungary, the prepaid tuition fee for two semesters may be refunded after deducting a 10% administrative fee from the first semester’s tuition fee.

Can I bring my family to Hungary while I study?
No, unfortunately. With a residence permit for studies, it is no longer possible to bring a family member from home and apply for family unification. A third-country national holding or applying for a residence permit for the purpose of studies, a student mobility residence permit or a student mobility certificate shall not be granted a residence permit for the purpose of family reunification.
