The primary goal of the Fishing and Angling College for Advanced Studies is to provide students with practice-oriented knowledge related to fisheries and angling, as well as the broader fields of aquaculture, fish breeding, and fish processing, that cannot be fully acquired through classroom instruction. The College also aims to enable exceptionally talented students to acquire the specialized knowledge essential for practical or scientific work in their chosen fields of interest.
With these principles in mind, we organize a study trip each semester to complement the comprehensive theoretical knowledge acquired at the University with specialized practical experience that can only be gained through on-site observation.
We organize three to four lectures each semester, focusing on significant current issues in the field as well as topics of particular interest to our members. Many of these lectures are delivered not only by faculty members of our University but also by distinguished professionals from industry, government agencies, and public institutions.
We regularly provide our members with opportunities to attend a variety of professional events, such as FEHOVA, HAKI Days, and the EAS Conference, where they can obtain up-to-date information from leading experts, learn about the latest trends in the sector, and gain insight into current research and development directions.
We maintain close cooperation with the Institute of Aquaculture and Environmental Safety, thereby providing outstanding students with opportunities to actively participate in the Institute's research, development, and innovation (R&D&I) activities. Through these experiences, members can graduate with market-oriented, value-added knowledge that is highly sought after by employers in the sector.
In addition to the professional and academic programmes listed above, members also have the opportunity to participate in numerous social and community-building events, such as fishing competitions and fish soup cooking contests, which further strengthen the bonds within our enthusiastic community.
Although membership changes over time, these activities help students form a close-knit and mutually supportive community. The relationships built through the College often prove invaluable not only during their university years but also throughout their professional careers.
