Zoology College for Advanced Studies

Last modified: 06. October 2026

The Zoology College for Advanced Studies was re-established in the summer of 2023 from the former Nematology College for Advanced Studies with the aim of covering a broader spectrum of the animal world.

The goal of our College is to connect students engaged in scientific work in the field of zoology, thereby providing opportunities for smoother communication, professional development, and social cooperation with the involvement of academic staff and other experts in the field.

We hold professional lectures every month and also encourage the acquisition of practical knowledge. Therefore, we organize programs and workshops focusing on specific animal groups, such as tropical bug preparation. One of our most popular recurring activities is volunteering at local animal shelters through dog-walking programs as part of our commitment to social responsibility.

Another goal of our College is to share not only scientific interests but also the experiences gained through our studies and activities. To strengthen our community, we organize professional excursions, team-building trips, social gatherings, and barbecues that help foster friendships and create a cohesive community.

We provide our members and interested students with topics for diploma theses and Students’ Scientific Conference (TDK) projects, as well as access to the necessary infrastructure. As members of our College, students receive assistance in setting up experiments, preparing for national and international conferences, and developing their research projects. We also encourage and support members in publishing their work and research results.
