Another QS workshop at MATE - focus on Reputation Analysis

For the third time, a workshop for professionals involved in MATE's ranking activities was held by London-based Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), the world's largest global higher education network connecting universities, business schools and students. The theme of this event was Reputation Analysis of our University.

QS was represented by Consultant, Project Manager Mariuxi Alvarado and Senior Consultant Daniel Kahn. The workshop took place online on 25 September and was attended by the leaders and/or colleagues from the Rector's Office, the International Directorate, the Education Directorate, the Directorate of Tender Management and Innovation Management, the HR Directorate, the Institute of Technology, the MATE 100 Club, the Media Centre, the University Library and Archives, and the Kaposvár-based Institute of Education. During the event, the theoretical background of the topic, the strengths and weaknesses relevant to the University's reputation and the possibilities for their development were presented. They also provided good practices and encouraged learning from leading higher education institutions. They also shared the good news that the Employer Survey is now also available in Hungarian, which will make it easier for industry professionals for whom English is not one of their strengths to complete. On the issue of enhancing the reputation and visibility of the University, interdepartmental cooperation was explained as a very important aspect, in addition to the internationally embedded and high quality research, which needs to be supported by adequate PR & communication.

The workshop was one of the five professional meetings that will take place in the framework of the strategic cooperation between the Ministry of Culture and Innovation and QS to increase the global recognition and performance of Hungarian universities in 2024/2025. The workshops aim to deepen the understanding of the QS ranking methodology and to increase the visibility of Hungarian Universities. In the case of our University, they are primarily aimed at enhancing its Employer and Academic Reputation and consolidating and further developing its position as "the best Hungarian university" in the field of Agriculture and Forestry.
