The Subcommittee on Industrial and Business Economics, the Subcommittee on Marketing and the Subcommittee on Management and Business Administration of the Committee on Economics of Division IX of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (MTA) annually announce Publication Prizes. For the awards to be presented in 2023, publications in 2022 in print and/or online were eligible to be nominated in three categories: – Professional book / study in a professional book – journal article in Hungarian – journal article in a foreign language.

​​​The received entries were evaluated by members of the Publication Award Working Committee, which supports the work of the Subcommittee. In making a decision, the Working Committee took into account the professional and scientific quality of the proposed submissions, the relevance of the discussed topic, and their impact on the development of the discipline. The evaluation of the journals was based on the list of journals of Division IX of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and the Scimago international list of journals. As a first step, the proposals received were evaluated individually by the members of the Working Committee, ranking the publications by category. After summarising the votes, the Publication Award Working Committee finalised the proposal, according to which the foreign-language professional book Management consultancy in Central and Eastern Europe: Consultancy in a global context, by Prof. Dr. József Poór, Eric J. Sanders, Gergely Németh and Dr. habil Erika Varga, Phd, editors-in-chief, was also awarded.

                  

The book provides a comprehensive overview of current trends in the global and regional consultancy market and illustrates the international scene with case studies from more than eight Central and Eastern European countries.

On behalf of the authors, Prof. Dr. József Poór, DCs. professor emeritus (MATE, Selye János University), Dr. Gergely Németh, PhD (COVA, METU) and Dr. habil. Erika Varga, PhD (MATE) received the certificates on 23 November 2023 at the award ceremony at the headquarters of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences from Prof. Dr. Gyula Bakacsi (Chairman of the Committee on Economic Sciences), Prof. Dr. Balazs Heidrich (Head of the Committee on Management and Business Administration) and Prof. Dr. Zoltan Veres (Chairman of the Publication Award Working Committee).
